We provide assessment, self-management, treatment, advice and exercise classes for the people from age 5+ suffering with musculoskeletal problems. NOTE: From age 5 to 15, we need a referral from GP/Consultant/Healthcare professional. For Age 16+, we also accept self-referrals.
We deliver our services through face-to-face, virtual (video and telephone) consultations and group interventions.
We use advanced Physiotherapy modalities and techniques like Shock Wave Therapy, Ultrasound Therapy etc. and Manual therapies like joint mobilisation, taping techniques, exercise programs etc.
On receipt of the referral, our senior clinicians will triage the referral within two working days to ensure that it meets our service criteria and that you will see the right clinician for your particular needs Once we accept the referral, our care navigators will contact the patient to book the initial appointment, for urgent referrals in less than 1 week and non-urgent referrals in less than 2 weeks’ time
Your assessment will involve our physiotherapists taking a detailed medical history, including information about your level of activity, your lifestyle, previous injuries or illnesses, your work environment and your current medication. Please come prepared with this information.
The physiotherapist will then carry out a physical examination. Depending on the nature of your problem, you may be required to undress for the examination and may wish to bring alternative clothing with you, such as shorts or a vest top. In discussion with you, treatment may take place at the first appointment and further appointments will be agreed as necessary.
If the patient needs a follow-up appointment, this will be booked by the physiotherapist at the end of the appointment.
We run a variety of exercise classes addressing MSK problems of spine, upper limbs and lower limbs to help our patients stay as active and independent as possible. All classes are designed in line with evidence-based practice. We provide these group interventions by face-to-face and virtual. Face-to-face group interventions are provided in Reading, Wokingham and West Berks regions. Group Exercise Classes are delivered on a rolling program so patients can access them at any time. All we ask is for patients to be able to commit to a regular time every week to get maximum benefit of the group intervention. NOTE:The patients must be assessed by our physiotherapists before joining our exercise classes.
